For over the three decades of its existence Zoffany successfully developed to one of the fastest growing and respected brands in the interior design market. The company was founded in 1981 when a when British art historian and designer Humphrey Boyle and American art historian Terry Friedman got an order to recreate the hand-printed wallpaper found during the reconstruction of the ancient Tudor estate in Leeds (today the Temple Newsam Museum). After that Mr. Boyle was granted the right to commercially reproduce the collection, which was highly regarded by leading London decorators. The founders decided to name their company after the neoclassical artist Johannes Zoffany. Staying true to the traditions of the past, Zoffany creates unique interiors for residential buildings of modern and classic architecture, hotels and restaurants. The image of old classical patterns on the latest brand new textiles is an innovative solution which is usually used by the company. |
