The French company Zuber traces its history back to the last years of the eighteenth Century when Jean Zuber opened his business in 1797 on the territory previously owned by the Teutonic knights. Up to this day, Zuber continues to produce wallpaper, fabrics and leather using traditional printing technology on wooden blocks, which are considered the heritage of the French nation (recognized as a national monument in 1995). The company’s collection consists from about a million of such boards which is quite impressive. This makes Zuber not just an ordinary, though very successful, factory but the company which supports the cultural and historical heritage of their country. This is the only factory in the world that uses the technology of the XVIII century in its daily basys. Traditional manual production accounts for about 90% of the company's total manufacturing. Zuber brand has received a huge and well-deserved popularity almost all over the world. Monarchs of Europe, rulers from the Middle East, famous actors, singers, athletes, world politicians, successful businessmen all are eager to order from Zuber. |
